OK. I have searched this forum along with many others. I installed a vehcile starter in my friends car today. Also installed was the DEI 555L security module. I hooked it all up as any other, and actually went by 2 different (but the same) diagrams. The vehicle will power up, but will never turn over. I tore it completely apart 2 times. The "start" wire is getting power, but even by "jumping" it it will not fire.

Is there a trick to this particualr vehicle. I also looked at the 04 and o diagram. 04 looks the same, but 06 is totally different than the vehicle.

Jeff

Not sure. I will double check it tonight. I assumed it was working.

So the yellow gets power when the unit tries to start the car....that's good.
But how about the ignition wires (pink and green) and the accessories (orange and brown)?
It'll still work if you don't power up the brown. However, if you do choose to power up the brown, it MUST drop out during crank, or the car won't start.

jsikora,

The GM-BP would work as a data bypass - however it wouldn't solve anything if the problem is with your remote start's GWR output.

The blue/black input to the 555L should read 12v with everything off and go to ground when you activate the remote starter.  If it doesn't do that you need to check the connection between it and the remote start, and also check the remote start's manual to see if that output needs programmed at all.
