Hi all,
I just got the Prestige XR6900 installed today and was wondering if anyone had a PDF or a link to the programming manual? I wanted to look over the programming manual to see what other options I have available if I decide to add something.
Also, sometimes I have to press the lock and unlock buttons twice before the LCD remote will show lock or unlock icon but the doors do everything right on the first press of the button. Any ideas on this?
Thanks!

Prestige doesn't have the manuals available for download yet.
I would go back to the installer and ask for a manual. He should have a few.
Also, if you have any questions about the unit, the dealer should answer them for you.

I haven't seen any of these new special XRO units yet, but generally, Audiovox programming features are all the same.
www.audiovox.com
click Manuals
type pro9776 or maybe pro9776a with no hyphens or spaces.
That's a basic alarm/start combo, and the first two pages of the install manual show the programming features.
The manual offers no explanation for what any of these features mean, so if you're not a professional installer, you may need to come back here and ask us what some of them are.

I have noticed on the XR6900/XR9000 that occasionally the LCD wont confirm a command even if the vehicle receives the command. I have had a couple systems where it was a rare occurance, and one it happened all the time. On that one I swapped the antennae and remotes, and it worked fine.

Yes, this is the exact problem that I am having. My vehicle will always get the commands but the remote will not respond/update. I went back to the installer Friday and they are ordering me a replacement remote to see if that fixes it. If not then I'll push for them to replace the brain and/or the antenna. It works great other than that but the 2-way is the main reason I got it. I didn't pay $400 for a 2-way system that works like a 1-way, haha.

You can get the manuals from their customer service. Can you guys tell me what bypass kit Can I use for my crv 2004 to work with xr6900? I don't want to lose a key. Can I use DEI PKH34 with xr6900? How far the LCD & nonLCD remote works? Do anyone have the CRV 2004 wiring diagram?  Do the factory alarm for CRV 2004 has glass break alarm? I am trying to install myself, any suggestions are welcome.

  • I have a 2004 CRV with K/E. I can tell you the PKH34 is the best bypass for that vehicle, since it's re-useable for its' application.
  • The remotes should have the same range.
  • The wiring schematic for that vehicle is here.
  • It does not come with a glass breakage sensor.
  • Read twice and solder once. The vehicle is very easy to integrate.

Thanks. I called DEI tech support and they told me that DEI PKH34 bypass kit's D2D won't work with audiovox XR6900 but he told that I can use wire 2 wire connection with xr6900, any idea how to connect wire 2 wire? Can I add glass break sensor to the existing crv security module? Can I use any brand break sensor?

The PKH34 is the only way to go, when needing bypass only, on specific 2001-2009 Hondas. Specifically, the module can be re-used on said vehicles, over and over. It is one of the few modules that can lock D2D in "secure" and doesn't require an analog GWR, until a full module reset. Also, it's not falling under the patents by AutoMobility. That's probably the reason it is being dis-continued and becoming increasingly harder to find. However, you might have been given incorrect information from DEI. Audiovox uses the DBI protocol. DEI uses the same one. Whether the pin-out is the same on the D2D cables, is a good question. I believe they are compatible though. This is another one of those discussions that should be covered here.

It might be tricky finding the proper wire for a sensor and creating the circuit but, it can be done.

DEI has D2D but audivox has data port. DEI tech support told that they make intentionaly not to work with non-DEI modules. But we can use wire 2 wire conection.  I asked cartoys guy and he told me that he is using DEI bypass module for audivox remote start, may be they are all using wire 2 wire connection, he didn't tell me what is the DEI bypass model number. Does anyone know how to open the driver side panel to pass the antena wire along the windsheild up to rearview mirror for CRV 04?
