I am trying to install a autopage rs900 remote starter/ alarm in my 1999 4runner limited. One of the connections is to the alarm module (Factory). If anyone knows where it is and what it looks like, it sure would be helpful. Also, any other heads up I could use installing this starter in this suv would be great too. Thanks

Audiovox has no info on security module in that vehicle.  That does not mean that there is not one.  Since I do not know which wire you are looking for, here is their info on Remote Start Wiring

Disregard the above information, it is for the 94 model.  My Dyslexia kicked in and I thought you had a 1994 9 Runner.

They have no factory alarm info for the 99 either.

Are you sure your 4Runner has a factory alarm?
And if so, what do you need the factory alarm module for? You should be able to have the aftermarket system arm and disarm the factory alarm, even without knowing where the factory alarm is located.

Dittoes with Chris Luongo on the lack of a need to find the factory alarm module. As with just about every Toyota made in at least the past 15 years, connecting ground-when-running to the keysense wire will disarm the alarm for remote start.
Also the driver's key cylinder lock/unlock wires(which are mandatory when doing keyless entry because the switch on the door shuts down after a while) will arm and disarm, respectively.
Bypasskit's website is showing that the 4Runner had an immobilizer starting with 1999 - however I don't think every vehicle had it. You can verify that it has an immobilizer by removing the steering column shround and looking at the ignition key cylinder; if it has a module with a black ring around the key cylinder then you will need to purchase a bypass module.
If it has an immobilizer, the PKT or 555X from Bypasskit/Directed would work(it's not a pain in the ass like their later model Toyota interface).

Thanks for the help so far ! New problem- I can get the remote starter to work off the remote with the key in, but I can't seem to get the bypass to program. It is an Astroflex OM-Toyota-1 bypass. I think I have everything wired right, I believe its in the programing . It says

INSTALLATION

1. Complete the installation of the remote starter. Make sure to test the installation by

remote starting the vehicle with a valid key (programmed) inserted in the ignition switch.

2. Connect the interface to the remote starter P16 connector.

3. Connect the antenna cable to the interface relevant connector then, place the antenna

loop on top of the original antenna at the key switch. Tighten the loop to fit the key barrel

contour.

PROGRAMMING

1. Insert one of the OEM keys in the ignition switch without turning it.

2. Within 15 seconds, depress gas pedal 4 times.

3. Within 20 seconds, depress brake pedal 5 times.

4. Remove key from ignition.

5. Within 10 seconds, connect the Blue wire (key reminder circuit) from the ignition switch

and the Black wire from the interface to ground then, depress gas pedal once.

6. After 60 seconds, remove ground from Blue and Black wires.

Note: Blue and Black wires must not remain connected together once programming is

completed.

Programming is now completed. Remote start the vehicle to confirm the programming was

successful.

If engine does not start and the SECURITY indicator flashes, programming has failed.

If this is the case, you will have to review all connections and start programming from the start.

Thanks for the help

I got the Autopage RS 900 installed thanks to all the help from you folks, but one problem.... The locks on the remote controls work intermittently. When the 4runner is running on the remote start, the doors will not unlock?? Wiring or programming? Help

Are you using the factory keyless remote, or the alarm remote?
