Most of the times subaru alarms are only set and disarmed by the factory remote. sometimes they can be set by locking the door with the switch and then closing the door. there is no wire to disarm the alarm. sometime you can turn off the alarm completly or you can just use the new remote ONLY (usualy tell people to throw their factory remote in the glove box, just incase of the alarm going off). and also dont use the switch. some more info on subaru alarms can be found here : http://www.cars101.com/subaru/keyless.html

Hope this helps you out.

Subaru sells a factory remote starter, and the 2008 specs list the automatic cars as being "Prewired for remote starter"
So, there must be a clean way of integrating a starter with the factory alarm without bypassing or disabling it.
Subaru could not have marketed a car that has the alarm system disabled with a factory starter installed.
In Canada, it's law that all new vehicles be equipped with an immobilizer.
Has anyone made progress on reverse engineering this?
Does anyone have experience with the factory unit?

Sorry, one more post:
How is the RFID transponder bypassed?
bypasskit.com seems to list only a door lock interface, but nothing that can interface with the factory alarm or key transponder.
I can't seem to find a product to bypass the transponder.
Thanks!
