2002 silverado remote start

I just installed a remote start system (Gryphon 750rs) in my 2002, 2500hd, but for some reason my truck won't start with the system.  I hooked up ignition 1 AND ignition 2 as well as the accessory wire.  When I press the remote start button, everything in the truck activates as it should, then the starter engages, but the truck will not start.  I have programmed the system to run tachless.  Do I need a bypass module for this truck, my keys aren't the kind with chips, I know this as I have bought keys at Home Depot, and then walked outside, started my truck and drove home.  I have hooked up 2 other remote start systems in the past, (both Viper 791) in my other vehicles 1998 Ram, and 1997 Tahoe, but never had this problem.  Any help on this would be appreciated.
