Hi, i installed a Viper 5701 Alarm/Remote start into a 2002 jeep liberty, hooked all the wires up, connected the unit to an xpresskit bypass in D2D, the problem is that the remote start and all features/functions will work flawlessly for a few days, then when i go to remote start the car the ignition will come on but will not remote start, and still all functions work except the remote start part, then i have to remove the small 15amp fuse wait 10 sec and plug it back in and it works fine again for a few more days. has anyone had this problem? anyone know a fix?
ive installed many remote starts into family/friends cars and they all work perfectly.

sounds like a D2D problem.... have you tried rewiring the module W2W?   i just had this problem on a Lexus using an XK01 in D2D.... W2W corrected the problem....

well i wired W2W, pretty sure i had all the correct connections, unplugged the D2D cable and the locks and such werent working. obviously the common connections, 12+ ground lock to lock unlock to unlock. and pretty sure the ground when running wore goes to ground when armed on the 5701?? im using the xpresskit DLPKCHG1-CHRY4 i thought maybe it was the brain box. im pretty sure i connected all the wires for the W2W correctly

The bypass' Ground When Running goes to the Vipers' Blue (-) 200mA Status Output wire.
Soldering is fun!

If i didnt have that hooked up correctly, would that be why the W2W wasnt working?

For the remote start portion, yes.  It needs to see GWR to turn on the transponder bypass portion.  The Locks should work OK.

okay, i was thinking it was the starter/alarm box, ive never had problems w D2D so i always use that. but if my problem w the remote start portion only working sometimes and having to pull the 15A fuse then it works again then i will be using W2W.
when it was hooked up D2D everything worked fine as a stated above for about 4 days or so then when i go to remote start it, everything powers up, but it dosent crank. then i pull fuses and try again and it works perfect for about 4 more days.
If anyone else has any suggestions, feel free to post
thanks everyone!!
