I have a 06 envoy with factory alarm and I installed a viper 5901 alarm remote start with a idatalink dl gm1 bypass module, every thing works ok except when the doors are locked for awhile 20 min. or so and you start the truck the factory alarm will go off. To get it to start without tripping off the alarm you have to unlock then relock then start truck or unlock then start truck and then lock it up again.

thanks Gottago

Are you running D2D or W2W between the Viper and the ADS DL?

If running D2D, did you flash the ADS DL module with DBI  DL GM1 firmware?  (My preference is to run W2W and hard wire all connections between the remote starter and the bypass module.  Strange things happen in D2D mode....)

If running W2W did you connect the Viper H2/1 Light GREEN/ Black (-) 200mA Factory Alarm Disarm Output to the ADS DL Brown (-) Disarm wire?

Soldering is fun!

Kreg i don't know about anyone else but have had a few issues using the pulse before start to disarm the factory alarm when using the Idatalink bypasses. It's like the pulse isn't long enough, i dunno. I started connecting the brown disarm to the blue status wire and so far i haven't had any issues....

Hi, Mike!  Thanks for the heads-up.  I haven't encountered that problem.  Most R/S's output a .75 sec disarm pulse but I never put a scope on it to measure the length.  I don't use Viper so I wonder if its an issue with them.  Connecting to GWR will definitely cure that problem!
