Ok guys, I'm back again. Vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.7L engine. Power door locks and windows. I bought the truck last year and it had a "security" system already in it. More like a "lock and unlock" function and that's about it.
I bought an Avital 4103xl from Amazon the other night, and since we're dead at work, I'd thought I'd pull the old system out and start labeling wires for the install later this week or this weekend. Since its my daily driver, I can't take my sweet-ass time on the install like I did with my Camry.
I went ahead and downloaded the install guide from directed dealers .com, and downloaded an install guide from bulldog security. I'm an ASE Certifed auto tech, so I have access to wiring diagrams and all the tools necessary for install. Problem is, I'm not familiar at all with car alarms. Mostly I just pull systems out that the customer no longer wants for various reasons. But, since I'm going to be installing a Remote Start system with door lock / unlock, and the fact that I may need relays, I'm asking for help before I get into trouble.
While pulling the old system out, I found a relay connected to the starter wires on the ignition wiring harness. I thought it was functional, but turns out I can start my truck without any of the wires hooked up or the brain even connected.
Here is the relay connected to the ign harness:

Also, I found 2 relays connected together for the door lock/unlock function. :

Now, to the heart of the matter: will I need to use the relay when connecting the Heavy Gauge wiring harness to the Avital 4103 for the remote start option?
Here is the wiring description for the Heavy Gauge wires:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can pay you guys back with factory wiring diagrams from Mitchel 1 or identa fix.
Again, thanks in advance.
Mark.

Ok.....so 60 views and no help. I guess I should have been a little more informative in my previous post.
I'm looking for help in getting the Heavy guage wires figured out on the remote start. Am I going to have to cut some wires, add in a relay, or do I just connect the wires to their respective places on the ign switch harness and solder them in? The BLUE and the YELLOW wires in the ign switch harness are kinda small gauge....am I supposed t hook up the PURPLE (30a) starter wire to that small yellow wire?
And also...should I keep that double relay and use it for the door locks? It has the resistors already crimped on the ends of the wire going to the LOCK/UNLOCK wire harness in the truck.
I'm just looking for some one to point me in the right direction.

While I'm not a fan of crimped wire connections, I would re-use the current door lock relays. That will
save you some time & money. If you get a chance to switch the connections over to soldered, so much
the better.
The photo of the ignition relay doesn't show the actual wire that was cut or tapped into.   I'm guessing
that is was for a Starter Kill circuit when the old alarm system was armed. Anyway, your truck has more
ignition wires than the Avital 4103 has (+) 30 Amp outputs. Here is the wiring necessary :
Avital 4103       2003 Ram 150
1 PINK (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT IGNITION        BLUE (+) 16 Ga @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
2 PURPLE (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO STARTER YELLOW (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
3 ORANGE (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO ACCESSORY    GREEN (+)   @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
4 RED (+) (30A) HIGH CURRENT 12 INPUT     PINK/BLACK (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
5 PINK/WHITE (+) PROGRAMMABLE OUTPUT FOR ACC2 OR IGN2      RED / WHITE (+) 16 Ga @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS **4103 set to IGN2
6 RED (+) (30A) HIGH CURRENT 12V INPUT PINK/BLACK (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
That leaves the Accessory 2 wire. Use a 30/40 Amp SPDT relay and wire as follows :
Relay Pin85 to 4103 ORANGE (-) ACCESSORY OUTPUT wire @ 4 Pin Satellite harness
Relay Pin 86 and 87 to PINK/BLACK (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS fuse at 20A ***
Relay Pin 30 to ORANGE (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Relay Pin 87a not used - insulate
You could use the RED / White +12V constant wire but use a DMM to verify this wire as per the note below.
Notes from Bulldog Security :
Use the BLUE 16 Gauge wire as IGNITION #1, DO NOT use the HEAVY GAUGE BLUE
wire for IGNITION #1. The Ignition #2 wire, RED / WHITE, is also 16 Gauge, there will be
(2) RED / WHITE wires of the same gauge in the Ignition Switch Harness, one wire will
test 12 Volts constant all the time and the other will test as Ignition #2, only use the
wires that tests like an Ignition wire.
Accessory1 wire is the large Green wire. Accessory2 is a 16 Gauge Orange wire.
Soldering is fun!

Kreg....once again, you come thru for me. Who says chivalry is dead? The pictures I took were taken with my ipad 2, which has a doodiety camera on it. Here is a good pic of the relay that's left over from my old crap-ass security system.

You can see that the YELLOW wire was cut. Will I need to reconnect that wire to make it 1 wire again?

My ipad also has auto-correct on it. That should say "it has a doodiety camera on it" , not doodeity.

Thanks for the better photo. Yes, it looks like they cut the Yellow Starter wire. You could keep that Starter Kill relay and use H1/5 Orange wire and Menu 2, Item 9 to control it. Or you could cut out the relay, reconnect the Yellow Starter wire and connect as listed above.
