Hi Guys,

I need instructions on how to install an AUDIOVOX PRO9232S to a 2003 Chevrolet Venture.I already have the wiring information for the VAN but i dont know specifically whichwires to tap into; (example: ARM/DISARM - should i tap directly to the door actuators or do i use theARM/DISARM output of the keyless entry module.) Preferably if somebody could tell me which specific wires from the Venture Van i will use to connect the wires described in the PRO9232S installation diagram. - arm, disarm#1, disarm#2, door switch trigger, ignition, +12V, GND, etc.

the alarm has two DISARM inputs (DISARM#1 and DISARM#2), and one ARM input.  Which of of the van wiring mentioned above should i use; As i see there are more than one options;

Doorlocks / Window

PowerUnLock       ORANGE / BLACK (-)  IN HARNESS IN DRIVERS KICKPANEL
PowerLock         RED / BLACK (-)  IN HARNESS IN DRIVERS KICKPANEL
DriverDoorMotor01 TAN       (+)
DriverDoorMotor02 GRAY      (+)  IN HARNESS IN DRIVERS KICKPANEL
Convenience

Also, if i use the power lock/unlock mentioned above, would the existing DRIVER DOOR PANEL LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH disarm the alarm ?

thanks.

Hi,

I also would like to get info on which wires to use for the door triggers - DRIVER, PASSENGER, SLIDING, TRUNK. As i see,there are a lot of possibilities to tap, i cant seem to determine which of these wires to use.

thanks

Your two disarm wires go to the tan wires that feed the the door lock actuators. The arm wire goes to the grey wire for the driver's door actuator. You must hook up the disarm wires carefully, otherwise the alarm won't work correctly. Hook up the disarm wire that if is powered won't allow the alarm to disarm to the passenger side lock motor. The wires can be found in the kick panels of each front door. The doorpin wires are tan, dark blue and orange. They must be diode isolated and can be found at the BCM qbove the passenger side kick panel. Use these summed wires to connect to a relay's terminal #85. Terminal #86 put to a fused 12 volt + source. Terminal # 30 to ground. Terminal #87 to the brown wire for your alarm. Using this relay will eliminate a falsing problem caused by these vehicles.
