Can anyone help me, I am installing a design-tech. remote starter and keyless entry system model # 24737, I am almost done except 2 problems i am having are:

1. I have hooked up the violet wire and the RED / white lock and unlock wires to the wires designated for lock/unlock wires. It isnt working. maybe I need a double pulse? maybe I need a relay or acculator? (I dont even know what  those are.) It says it is a negitive door lock.

2. I cant find where the wire to hook up the lights are? Is it under the dash?
