I have recently had an Audio Vox model AA-RS5CS installed in my 1999 Chevrolet lumina..It works fine ..except I have no power to the heater/AC blower.. The installer said he could not make the connection..

Can anyone help?

Ask him what is the use of the remote starter without the heater or a/c running?   This sounds like a installer not familiar with remote starts.. It may require a extra relay,, that I don't know as I am not looking a the tech notes on the unit at the moment however would you have bought the remote starter if you would have known the heat or a/c would not run... Take it back to him and give him a chance to make it right, if he doesn't I would ask to have it removed and get your money back.... Then go to a quality install shop and get a remote start and explain to them the problem you had previously..

Good luck            J

  • Thanks J.  The remote was a Xmas gift...and in my area...Installers do not do any
  • but what they sell..
  • And for instance One Retailer had a sale on with a $159.00 installed..
  • Actual quote when I inquired was $285.00..Bait and switch.
  • Any way a friend who is a decent mechanic said he would install it.
  • I will get it adjusted. To work..with out uninstall.

Yeah I show Purple is required to be powered as an accessory.
