Hello,

Where is the module for the alarm located, along with the wiring diagram with the color codes for my 97 camaro? Thanks

see if this helps you:
Make:   Chevrolet
Model: Camaro, Z28
Year:    1997
This Database Was Last Updated On:    6/9/2003
Index #: 339
Alarm
Constant 12 volts RED IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Ignition 12 volts PINK IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Starter YELLOW IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Dome Light WHITE (-) AT BODY CONTROL MODULE *
Trunk Pin Switch ORANGE / BLACK (-) AT BODY CONTROL MODULE *
Parking Lamp BROWN (+) AT HEADLIGHT SWITCH
Power Lock RED / BLACK AT BODY CONTROL #228
Power Unlock ORG/BLK & GRAY/BLACK MODULE **
* Body Control Module (BCM) Located Behind Passenger Dash Below Glove Box. WHITE (-) Wire At BCM Covers Both Front Doors And Trunk. Optional (-) Door Trigger, GRAY/BLACK (Dr) & BLACK/ WHITE (Ps) (-) At BCM. Diode Isolation Needed, Cathode (Band) Side Of Diode Faces OEM Wires. ** Refer To "TECH" Notes For Additional Information On Power Door Lock System. #228- See 1996-97 Camaro/Firebird Door Lock Diagram.
** Due To Accessory Power Loss At The Body Control Module (BCM) Power Door Locks Will Become Inoperable 35 Seconds After Last Door Is Closed Upon Exiting The Vehicle. The BCM Will Remain Without Power Until Either Door Is Opened Which "Wakes Up" The BCM. This Situation Can Be Resolved Simply By Sending A Negative Pulse To The GRAY/BLACK Driver Door Trigger Input Wire In The 32 Pin Blue Connector At The BCM At The Same Time As The ORANGE / BLACK Unlock Wire. Please See Note #228. *** OEM Arm Not Known At This Time. OEM Alarm Must See Correct Resistor Across VATS Wires And 12 VDC (+) On PINK Ignition Wire Within 8 Seconds Of Opening Door To Disarm Alarm.
Good Luck

There's a pine green colored wire for the alarm. The module I'm seeing, it goes in number 16. Is this the wire I need, and if so, what's the number for the negative for the alarm? Thanks.
