Hey...everything was working fine with my alarm (Viper 550esp).  I installed (almost done) a 530t, so I turned off the anti-grind feature as it said to.  I also put the alarm in Valet mode because I was working on it.

Now, I went to put the car back into normal mode, and nothing happens.  The LED won't light up and the valet switch ain't doing a thing!  Some other odd things are happening, too, so hopefully they're all related.  (1)When I did a pit-stop feature with the remote starter, after I hit the remote's button to go into pit-stop mode, and turned the key back, it re-cranked (ccrrrrr!).  (2) I have the domelight supervision thingie that goes on when you unlock the doors...and stays on until you put the key in the ignition and turn it.  Well, the light is staying on for as long as it likes too.

I tried to even hold in the valet switch to make it beep (like if I was programming it), but got nothing.  I tried to get out of Valet with the remote (open the door, hit the lock....), but no go.  But the panic on the alarm, the keyless entry, the trunk pop, are all still working.  The 530t is sort of working, but it' s not rolling up the windows upon arming (this is what started it all, I thought it was because the car was in Valet mode).  Any ideas?  I'm stumped.  IF a fuse was blown, wouldn't things like keyless entry not work?

THANKS!!! Can't get out of valet mode -- posted image.

If your valet switch is okay, you most likely do not have 12V+ showing on the alarm's ignition lead when the key is in the "run" position. Double check your ignition connection and let us know what you find.

Thanks!  Do you mean the PINK wire from the remote start relay satellite?  I just noticed that the only YELLOW wire (from my experience that is the Alarm's Ignition Wire) that I have is the one on the remote start harness (a 5-pin connector)....so it's not something that I had to "wire".

the main harness should have a yellow wire that runs to the starter kill rerlay and this is you r ignition input to the alarm thius wire has to see 12 volts when th ekey is turned on to access valet mode or programing of the alarm, also if a door input is not connected to the alarm... programing the unit is not possible.

also the pink wire and the yellow wire can be connected together to yur ignition wire in the car the pink wire is the heavy guage off the relay satelite. one easy way to know if you have the yellow connected is to arm the alarm and turn the ignbition switch if aLARM DOES NOT SOUND YOU HAVE NO CONNECTION ON THE YELLOW WIRE.

Hmmm.....can't do that because the alarm would never sound if I'm stuck in Valet mode, right?  I have no lock/unlock chirps and no lit LED.  But I will definitely check these wires, maybe one of the ignition wires came loose.  Thanks....I'lll let you know what I find.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

yes if the alarm is in valet mode it will not sound the alarm nor will it kill the starter so you need to double check that yellow wire i talked about in the above post. valet mode only allows locks and lights  to work without the siren and remote start will still work , that is all that will work in valet mode. did you use the orandge wire to trigger the window module?????????

Yes, I used the orange wire....I have the orange from the alarm going to the orange of the starter kill (with a diode in between the two).  And then I piggybacked the orange wire of the 530t onto the alarm's orange wire between the diode and the brain.

Just like the pic:

how did you connect window mod - I connected the orange wire of the 530t to the orange wire of the brain (as in the above pic).  I did nothing with the grey wire of the 530t.
