My remote starter has two built-in relays: one for lock and one for unlock.  There are only three pins each:  Common-30, NC-87a, and NO-87.  The contacts 85 and 86 are polarized through the module internal circuits.  I think my 2001 Altima's door triggers are negative (-) ground.  Do i have to connect all of the three pins to something?  What connections do i have to do?

connect both 87 terminals to ground and the lock terminal 30 to the lock wire of altima and unlock terminal 30 to unlock of altima. Both 87A terminals are not used.

Also forgot to say that the 87's have fused 10 amps attached to them.  Do this make a difference when i attach it to ground?  Kind of funny attaching a fused wire to ground though.

do i have to put a diode for the driver door and the rest of the doors?

so this is fine then?  that the 10 amp fused wires of 87 are going to ground and the wires at 30 are to the respective lock and unlock terminal?  Please let me know as i am installing the RS right now.

this is godd all you are doing is tellign the relays what to do the alarm already know that pin 86 has to be pos and the 85 pin is the input from alarm so in five wire you need the 87a pin and in all others you dont so do what the post say with 87 ground on both and 30 the the wires, and your good to go that car is easy.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
