Potentially an ignorant question, but I've learned you can't be too careful.

I finally got my replacement 'brain', but I've lost the diagram for my transponder bypass module.  Could someone get me the information for the red & RED / black connections?  Seems like the red went to the output on the brain but I don't remember for sure.
Thanks in advance.

It's the universal one that requires the key Jeff. Those are the only two wires, short of the ones that lead to the ignition itself.

Thanks.

I thought the RED / black went to a "ground when running (-) output"?

The key required bypass modules that we have inlcude 3 wires ( BLACK - ground.... RED- 12 volts----- GREEN - Key Sense ) All the rest is controlled via internal circuit board. You can still use the GROUND OUT WHEN RUNNING wire but becareful because if the module that you are using is not capable of handling the 12 volts input and does not turn off the input, the second the GROUND OUT WHEN RUNNING wire has been lifted, you have no ground anymore.

In my case (using the Aladdin A-2000) the transponder output is (-), so I just ran the red to constant power, and the ground (RED / black) to the the (-) output on the unit.  It shouldn't activate (draw on the battery) until the unit actually emits it's (-) signal, right?

That is correct. I wouldn't be worried about the battery draining rather the unit not being grounded with a constant power source going to it.
