my Girlfriend drives a 99 pontiac sunfire GT convertable. she has the factory keyless entry but it does not make a sound when she locks it. she wants to make the horn chirp or somethign so she can tell it is locked when she pushes the button. is there a simple way to add a chip (of the horn) to the factory keyless? i was thinking maybe add a relay to the power lock wire? i dont know? any advice would be apreciated. ~Ryan

I dunno, but if you added a relay to the power lock wire to make the horn chirp, it will chirp when you hit the button.

Usually on these the horn will sound if you hit the lock button twice

you can use a relay and a togle switch

86 12v parking lights

85 ground from toggle switch

87 ground

30 goes to horn

you must use the togle switch other ways every time you turn the lights is going to horm

for one, with the lights you'll get a different chirp for lock and unlock, since the lights flash once or twice depending on whether you lock or unlock
