Can I use the dome light wire instead of the door trigger with diode isolation for my alarm trigger?  I'm installing an Autopage 855 LCD on a 2002 Ford Ranger.  The GEM checks the status of the doors about every 45 minutes.  If I were to use the dome light as the trigger I would avoid needing the diodes, right?  Thanks!

That is correct. You should be able to find the dome light on the park light switch (if I am not mistaken). However on vehicles with a delay domelight this may cause customer problems with delayed arming on some units (highly discouraged on manual tranny remote starters) and in this case you will need to use the door trigger wires with a diode on each of them.

Thanks Satkunas, that's what I thought.  No dome light delay, so I should be good to go.
