Ok, there might not be a set of 'proper' install steps when installing, but Id like to know what various people do when they do install. Im looking for a couple pointers, or ways to do things faster, smoother, and cleaner, so I can develop into a better installer.

(Any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also if you feel that Im doing something wrong, please let me know, and I'll take it into consideration)

1. Grab all necessary tools/diagrams

2. Remove all necessary panels, and remove tools used to remove panels

3. Locate and tap all wires needed. (Or strip wires needed like starter wires etc)

4. Find a mounting location for the brain

5. Temporarily plant the wiring harness(s) at the mounting location, and cut wires to length

6. Tape wires accordingly. Sometimes when Im lazy I like to spin my wires (Not all but only the thin wires)

7. Attach appropriate connectors to ends of wires

8. Mount the brain

9. Connect wires

10. Ziptie the alarm wiring

11. Put paneling back on

12. Do my paperwork, and start on the next car ;)

Comments and suggestions are greatly welcomed. Thank you

Here are two I immediately noticed that you didn't have listed. These may add a few minutes to each job, but can potentially save you hours, headaches, and duckies.

First. Inspect vehicle prior to beginning any work (make note of any damage to vehicle, malfunctions, etc.) and have customer sign off.

Last. Inspect vehicle after completing all work and have customer sign off.
