I installed one of this alarms about a month ago for a local shop  and wondered who makes them.

I used the 650r it wasn't all that bad, the remote is nice and small and it had all the features you would find on a good unit. Also the instructions reminded me of DEI, it had the same H designations for the wiring harnesses and the same wire colors and sizes.

But I'll like to know who makes this things. And if they are reliable?

ALERT AUTOMOTIVE, JBS COMBINE TO INTRODUCE ADVANCED REMOTE START, SECURITY PRODUCTS
Alert Automotive and JBS Technologies, LLC have combined forces to introduce the most advanced Remote Starters and Security Systems to date.
“The engineers at Alert have taken two-way technology to a new performance level,” said Jeffrey Stark, President and CEO of JBS.
The Alert 750R and Alert 550R have built in features for turbo charged performance vehicles as well as our fail safe standard shift design. The “Turbo Timer Mode” keeps the engine running after arriving at your destination for a programmable period of 1, 3 or 5 minutes. This allows you to conveniently cool down the turbo charger after you have exited the vehicle. To learn more about Alert performance products, visit www.alertautomotive.com or call us at 888 863-9738 and find out how to become an authorized Alert distributor.

Thanks iskidoo! That's what I though.

The shop I did the install for got this unit for $90 retail, they got it from another local shop as they don't do alarms all the time they install accessories bed liners, body kits, upholstery, and the like. Thats why I was curios as I had never heard of Alert.

They do look alike but they are different. Take a good look at the units, the plugs are set up differently and the Autopage units are more refined especially the remotes.

They're Bulldog. They are what Bulldog units should be if they had updated their products for the past 10 years, instead of selling the same outdated stuff.
