Need to know if I can bypass the transponder on a 2000 maxima by gluing a key to the ignition barrel .. I have heard that this can be done on other vehichles.   I am trying to avoid using a relay and taking the transponder out of an existing key. Please let me know what I need to do to bypass this ... Thanks for any help .......... If anyone has questions in regards to cellular installations ( high end vehicles ) Over 15 years experience , this market seems to be growing ........ Rovari

Rovari- you can do it that way, but I don't recommend it, you would need to cut non-transponder keys to drive the car. You also defeat the security feature of the transponder. Use the DEI 555u for an easy install. Also check out http://bypasskit.comfor more info. Steve
