Greetings,
I bought a used Tundra 2000 2wd/double cab/v6. It came with an keyless entry remote, alarm and starter kill switch. I didn't pay much attention to the model because it worked. Now, the remote died and I can't turn off the alarm or start my truck.
After googling for the past three days, I've narrowed down the manufacturer to a generic Omega model using a 404-07 transmitter with the circuit board #AIE01RK REV2 and FCC ID #L2MAL41T.
My first action was to look for the valet switch but I can't find anything that looks even close to what a valet switch should be under my dash/driver side.
Can I disconnect this alarm system? Is it just a matter of disconnecting a wire to my starter/ignition? I'm not a mechanic, I tinker, so layman's terms appreciated.
Thanks!

if there was a relay put in for starter kill you will have to find it and reconnect the two ends of the starter wire back together

then your truck will start

Don't know if this helps, but here is what the Valet Switch should look like

Hi,
Would the relay be in the engine compartment or behind the dash? Is reconnecting the wires to the starter the only thing I need to do to uninstall the alarm?
I can't find anything that looks like the picture under my dash. Would it be placed elsewhere, like maybe outside the vehicle under the truck?
Thanks so much for your helpful responses.

Look near you Ignition Switch or under dash in that vicinity......

Starter wire is GREEN / Black, so if you find where ( or if ) it was cut, you should find the Relay

If you want to uninstall it, remove the underdash panel and kickpanel. Find the brain and start tracing connections to remove. If you just want it diconnected do like MO says. If you pull the underdash panel you will see a harness coming from the switch traveling to the drivers side and going up behind the black air duct. Chances are that's where they got power and you should be able to disconnect the 12v, ignition, and patch the GREEN/ black starter wire back together there.

Final update on alarm.
I followed your advice and took a look at the wiring under the dash panel on the driver's side but being a newbie to the world of wiring it was all a bit overwhelming.
I ended up breaking down and calling a local mobile alarm company by the name of Loop's in Tucson, Arizona. The installer was awesome and knowledgeable, and he was quite suprised when he located the valet switch behind the door panel, actually the area above the driverside window. He'd never seen anyone place it there and he figured the truck may have been detailed and the worker may have hid the wire thinking it fell outta place.
To make a long story short, I've an accessible valet switch and a programmable remote and I can start my truck!
Thanks to all for your help, this is a terrific resource with knowledgeable folks.
