I have installed an excalibur atv-1000 in my 2001 dodge ram 1500.  Everything went ok after everyone in the forum helped me out.

Now i have a problem with the airbag light staying on.  I have tried disconnecting the negative battery wire for 10 minutes, turning the ignition on then pulling the negative battery wire, and checked every fuse that i could find.

I have seen a few things on the forums about reseting lights but not about Rams. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Basically, the only reason i am even worried about it now is because i am selling the truck and want to make sure it is okay for the next guy.

thanks,

crjoslin

If you put a remote start on there you need to see if you powered all the acc., ang ignition wires. If it has two starters both need to be powered during crank.

I haven't put a r/s on it.  The truck is a manual, too risky for me.  How would I find out if the truck has two starters?

I looked at the vehicle wiring charts and it only has one ignition wire.  I, just, noticed that there is a wire for ign key warning. Could that be part of the problem, i.e. it should be tied into the alarm?

Thanks

Generally airbag lights cannot be reset without a trip to the dealer. It's a safety issue so they make sure that you have to have the SRS system acutally looked at; to determine what set the light.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
