I have a Designtech Autocommand Remote starter installed in a 96 suburban. I am trying to program the unit for the one button transmitter, but it wont go into programming mode. I can wiggle the RCA cable for the antenna and get lucky enough to enter programming mode, but it wont stay long enough for anything. Do I need to buy a new antenna? Where would I get one?

Place a slight bend on the center pin and push in the outer prongs to make a tight fit around the male end of the connector.

Ok, I did that and I think im gettin a good connection, but it still kicks out of programming mode and then wont re-enter. Is there any kind of wiring problem or short that could be causing this?
