I am starting to put a remote start system in my car, and on the front of the install manual, it states to make sure the "system is in service mode". Are they speaking of the car or the remote start unit ? and how exactly do I do that ?
Thanks for any help

ive installed 3 ultrastart r/s alarms (2250, 2256m) and all 3 of them referred to service mode as a setting the user activates on the alarm after it is installed, to disable the remote start functions while the car is being serviced.(i assume to prevent accidental start) these alarms are very easy to install, and are quite user friendly. I have had great success with them. just follow the basic  "recommended installation procedures usually on the 3rd or 4th page.  good luck. hope it helps.

Thanks Jmac. I was pretty sure that was what they were talking about. I also remembering reading about it somewhere, maybe it was in the user manual, not the install manual. I just thought it was strange to put that on the front of the install manual. But then again, it's my first time, so what do I know. Thanks again.
