I have a DEI matrix 10.5X. It has a port for a thing like the glass break sensor. I hooked it up, and it works, plug n play.
However, when i arm it, i get a bypass notification (a second chirp) with the zone that the glass break sensor is on. There is no way to turn it off for that zone. Why is it doing this??
So far, no installer has been able to answer this question. There is nothing special about the sensor, unpack, plug in to brain, wrap wires, you're done.

Are you arming the system immediatley after closing the door?  If you are the sensor may be picking up the sound from the door.  Try closing the door and waiting about 10seconds then arm the system. If it still gives you the waring then there may be something wrong with the sensor or it's set way to sensitive.

I thought that the DEI product was not supposed to make that sensor active until 30 seconds after its armed, thus, it shouldnt pick up anything.

YEah it's supposed to be 5-10 seconds, but it doesn't always happen like that.  Have had situations like that in the past with glass breaks and even the shock sensor.

I've had it give this error chirp with a second piezo siren inside the car; do you have one inside?
