arctic start rt4200 not responding

1999 gmc with a arctic start rt 4200 remote starter is not responding ,i installed it a year ago worked good .now i have nothing ,no park lite flashes ,cant flash hood pin,it will lock and unlock doors ,but the park lites dont flash when this happens ,unit is getting power on both reds and fuses are good ,ground is good all connections were soldered and seem to be good ,antena lead is good ,i removed the brain and it seem good (nothing burnt).clicked ignition 5 times to make sure it is not in valet ,hood pin seems ok. I have installed a few of these with no problem, this one has me stumped and it is my own truck....freindly manitoba

Seems obvious to me.

If everything else checks out as you say, and you can verify the brain is not defective...you have either

A) a bad remote control or weak/dead battery,

B) the remote lost it's programming (it happens)

C) I am not familiar with that brand but I know on the dei if the antenna is unplugged or faulty it won't respond to squat. Might want to check that.

Somebody with experience with arctic start will probably be of better help. I can only give "general" advice.

I will say that the newer dei units will not work AT ALL, no matter how close you place the remote to the brain unless the antenna is plugged in and functional. (I have seen a tiny break in one of the antenna wires cause this sympyom.)

As far as the brain being defective you can not tell by looking. Sure if you found a burned trace/componet you would have a starting point. But all electronic components can go bad for  reasons unknown and show no visible signs of damage whatsoever.

When I have a case like you have, and I am POSITIVE all my main power/ground connections check out, the next logical step is substitution.

Try to find another brain and plug it up. It it works you found the problem. The same with the antenna if thats the case. If still no response it is something in the installation.

Keep in mind that some systems will give similar sympton if the hood shutdown switch is "seeing" ground. A longshot, but I find often the most simple things are overlooked.

But all signs point to remote/recieve problems with the info I have at hand.

If you discover any other symptom that can verify the remote, antenna and brain are properly functioning, give a yell and we can take it from there.
