I have a 2000 chevy blazer and am in the process of installing a compustar 2wss-as. Im having problems with the door lock / unlock feature. the wiring diagram says the polarity of both wires is + and it says they are a blue wire and a white wire in the brown plug of the bcm. using my DMM i have tested both wires while trying to lock and unlock the doors with my factory remote.. i get nothing on the meter. If im testing this wrong let me know, but assuming because theyre both +, i should meter them as if that is the hot side (correct?). If anyone can tell me where im going wrong, please do.

also, I used the suggestion that the diagram gave me in trying to find the wire for the parking lights. (start vehicle with parking break set, release parking break, wire should go to ground.) it doesnt...

i realize the parking light question is vague, but if anyone has experience with this particular vehical, please throw some suggestions my way.

You need to wire up a passlock II module. That will control door locks. You need to wire the alarm to the passlock and there will be a violet wire that connects to the violet wire at the diagnostics plug. Door locks will be controled through the violet wire, no need to worry about the vehicle lock wires.

ok. not to sound stupid, but now i'm confused. i have a pljx bypass and have made the connection with the violet wire. I still need the alarm to trigger the lock / unlock do i not?

also, for those reading this, this is my first alarm install. please be patient with me.

I have not done many passlocks myself, but I did a compustar 2wss-s on an 04 Sierra and used the directed 457G. I wired all of the connections to that as far as door locks, triggers etc. The passlock module then controlled all of those functions through the violet wire. I was in the same boat as you, I was over thinking it. It actually ends up being very simple, no need to mess with vehicle lock, trigger wires.
