I need help trying to locate the tach wire for my remote starter on a 2007 Highlander. It looks like the ECM wiring may of change. The witing diagram for the 2006 say it's located on ECM 5 - pin 5 (black wire). On the 2007, the ECM 5 - pin 5 is light purple and measures 30 volts AC.
Any help or advice to located the tach wire would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Much easier, go to the OBD2 connector under the drivers dash, pin 9. It will be the wire all by itself in the corner(away from al the other wires)...

Found it. It is much easier!
Thanks a bunch.
For others looking for the OBD2 connector, it is located just below and to the right of the Hood Release lever. It is built into the panel and is white in color.
