I have installed many remote starters on these cars and i've just recently come across this problem. After remote start, the blower motor won't come on. The acc in this car runs with the pink/white ignition, so basically, if the blower motor doesn't come on, the car shouldn't even start. i pulled out the relay used for the 2nd starter thru a (-) 180ohm resistor and the car still starts and blower motor comes on. i've done so many of these and never seen the problem, yet i had 3 customers come back this week with the same problem. the first time took a while to figure out, but after that i just knew what to do. One of them was 2001, one was a 2003 and the other was a 2005. Anybody know why that happens? all the wiring was the same, it just doesn't need the PURPLE / brown for start and if you do connect it, the Acc doesn't come on.

I'm going to guesss that you'll need that relay back in there once they try to cold start it. I had one last week that started fine in the shop but once he tried on a colder morning, no go. Checked and found the resistor had broken when taping up. FIxed and has had no problems since.

i hope it starts because if i put the relay back in, the blower motor won't turn on. i know the resistor is good, i checked it in case i put in the wrong resistance by accident. i sauder too so i know my connections are good.

Well just trying to be of help but you have to be wiring something incorrectly, I could see if you had a problem with one car but it seems definitely installer error if you have THREE cars come back with problems...Are you sure you have the relays wired correctly?

everything is wired correctly, its a pretty straight forward car. as far as i can tell, its not an installer problem, i talked to d.e.i tech support and they said they've heard of this problem before....athough didn't know why it was. just said to do what i did and everything should be ok.

Check your 86 and 85 pins on your relays, it sounds like one of them isnt triggering properly. Sometimes the DEI diagrams arent quite perfect so you need to use your head a little bit when dealing with their stuff and double check their diagrams.
