Does anyone know if it's possible to program an auxiliary button on the Viper 180XV to open my garage door?  If it makes any difference, I've got a Craftsman opener.  If so, how?

If you've got a newer garage door opener (no older than 7 years old) you probably have a rolling code system.  The Auxillary button on your viper remote only interfaces with the code system on the viper.

However -- you could use the auxilliary button to send a negative/positive trigger to a relay that connects the terminals of the garage door button on the door opener.  This would require some micro-circuit soldering and a lot of patience.

The search function is your friend.

That trick is waaaay out of my league.  Too bad....it would be a nice little convenience to have.
