My 98 Expedition XLT doors lock automaticly when I put it in gear. Does anyone know which wire it is so that I can cut it? I dont like this feature and want to get rid of it.

Look in your owners manual.  On some vehicles there is a procedure in the owners manual to turn this feature off.  If not, contact your ford dealer.

Thanks Player but no cigar. The owners manual doesnt say anything about it. Its such a pain in the ass when I get out of my truck and try to open my back door to find it locked, then I have to open my front door again to unlock it. Maybe Im lazy but if I can fix it, I'll be happy. hehe

yes the owner's manual , tells you how to disable. But only if your car is equiepped with keyless entry. If your car has a keypad in the drivers door make sure ignition is off and all doors closed.

1- enter 5 digit entry code.

2-press and release 3\4 while holding 7\8

3- release 7\8

the horn will honk once if autolock was deactivated or twice (one short and one long chirp) if auto lock was activated

you must do this within 30 second

Look at you owners manual it tell you how to do it. Under keyless entry option and features.

Luis.
