I need to use a relay to short two wires together using a neg input. Can anyone help?

Convert a Negative Output to a Positive Output, but keep #86 to +12V and do not connect #30 to +12V...
#30 & #87 are to the 2 wires to be shorted.

What are trying to do SWITCH or connect two wires?
Just use 87 and 30 terminals on any standard relay.

Neg source to 85,
Pos supply to 86,
In at either 30 OR 87,
Out at either 30 OR 87.
Oh and a 1N4004 diode across 85 and 86 with its band towards 86.

Which might as well be a Pterodactyl's a/hole.
Are you using an alarm aux to switch a pos going motor wire?
You should have asked that question originally and had the answer 2 post's ago.

It's the way you phrased the question. You don't actually short two wires together, you join them. Shorting is usually applied to "shorting to ground" which can lead to all sorts of problems.
I take it you mean the WHITE/ black and yellow/blue wires at the switch.
Then wire it thus.
Solder a short length of wire to each, then:
Aux output to 85.
12V+ 3amps fused to 86.
One of the soldered wires to 87.
The other to 30.

Just to complicate things, the above info was directwire and I'm slightly suspicious because WHITE/ black is often a ground so it must be tested.
A/Vox gives a more common set-up of white (motor wire +) at the fuse box.
Wire as follows:
Aux out (from alarm) to 85.
CUT that white wire and join the fusebox (front) side to 87a.
Trunk (rear) cut side to 30.
12V+ constant at 15 amps fused to 87 and 86.
In both of the above cases a diode is required across the relay coil, 85 and 86, type 1N4004 with its band towards 86.
Test your vehicle with a DMM to see what you have. If it's the white that wire will go to ground (test) until the switch is activated then it will give a 1 second pos burst, release the trunk and revert to ground.
