Yes i have a friend that when they close there drives side door front one that the dome light will stay on is there away to turn on the switch or to fix this so that it will turn off when he closes his door. Or if there is a switch that most cars have the turn it on when you open the door. where is that at so that i can help him disconnect it.

In the drivers kick panel you should see a Yellow/Black wire that goes into the door boot.  That should be the wire yoiu need to cut to disable.

sounds like he has a bad door pin switch, which i believe is in the door latch on that make/model. sometimes you can take out the latch and clean it up and get it working again and sometimes you need to just replace the whole latch, or like the post above, just disable that door pin.
