I have purchased a replacement aftermarket power antennae for my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The new one has three wires, Red,Black, and Blue. The old one had three wires Green,White, and Gray. I have determined the the Gray one is the Ground. I need to know which of the other two wires would go to the new ones. If I hook the green to red , the antennae will go up but not down, When I hook the white to the blue I blow a fuse if the red and green are connected.

Thanks

hi,

the antenna you purchased has the relay to control the up/down functions contained on the antenna.  the factory antenna has the relay located in the vehicle, not on the antenna.  listen for clicking under the passenger side dash while turning the radio on and off, that's the relay for the antenna.  locate it and it should have six wires on it.  three match the colors of th factory antenna and three others. one is battery power, one ground, and the last the remote out lead.  red goes to the battery, black ground and you can figure where the last lead goes.

hope this helps
