I am just finishing up the install of my pioneer navi. but need help with 2 wires.
The car is 2002 bmw 325ci.
I need to know the color/pin of the illum wire @ the factory radio harness.
Also the color of the reverse wire in the trunl/lid.
Thanks
Rem

Don't know the colors off hand, but if you have a meter they are easy to test for. For the illum wire, test the harness for a wire that is ground with the lights off and 12 volts when the lights are on, make sure that it is 12 volts no matter where the dimmer is. For the reverse, just pop the inside cover of the light off and test for the wire that is ground when the car is parked or in drive and 12 volts when the vehicle is in reverse.

auex's testing methods are correct---neither of these wires are hard to find.
I agree strongly with the suggestion of just going to the reverse light bulb..... but then you should make a mental note of the color, and go up front and find it in one of the kick panels or running boards.
