Installed a kenwood kvt-815dvd about 2 weeks ago and everything has been working fine with it until today.  I was listening to some music when all the sudden the unit completely shut down.  I thought it had to be a fuse or maybe a connection came loose so I took the whole thing apart and checked it all.  The system will now power up but as soon as you select something other than Standby in SRC say Tuner or DVD the unit will either A)Shut down B)No sound but the disc will run.  I have tried pressing the reset button on the unit to no avail.  I'm stumped! Someone out there has got to have an idea!

Fixed the problem, in case anyone else has it...This receiver is pretty fussy about protection features with all its fuses and grounds.  It appears that the only thing that was stopping the system was a female slide connector that had wiggled free and made contact with the other terminal and the frame ground.  Some heat shrink on the slides and presto system works again.
