Pioneer N2 HU

Hi everyone, well as the subject says, i have finally got my pioneer avic n2 installed in my 2005 Cadillac CTS and i have a few questions that i need help with. Frist, the installer couldnt find the Vehicle Speed Sensor, any idea on how i can locate this. They said because there's not much support on my vehicle that it's going to be hard to locate, and if i can find out where it's at, then could do it for me Second, i asked them to ground the Parking Brake (they wouldnt solder the r197 for the bypass) so i could do the bypass on it. Instead of grounding it, they installed a toggle switch. Is this the same thing, im not sure how it works but they told me to toggle it when i can to watch while in motion, kind of a pain in the ass. If someone can explain is this way as easy as just grounding it? Those are my 2 main conerns. So far the unit is sweet. really liking it, but there is 1 thing bothering me. The unit makes it ringing sound, high pitched but noticable when ur really listening. Does this happen to anyone else? thanks every1...

the switch is the same as just grounding it, only thing is if the switch is off, it is as if the car is in motion with brake down, if switch is on it is as if the car is parked with brake up.  your ringing sound could be alternator whine.  Did you have an amplifier installed in the car?

no amp was installed, but i did get Boston Acoustics SL60's installed in the front, running of deck power. Rear speakers are still stock thanks

Being we dont suport video bypass on this site Im going to watch how I word this. When a N2 is installed properly and you turn the vehicle on, the e-brake must be disengaged then reengaged for the system to work. With that information you should be able to understand why they put it on a switch. thanks for that info, i understand how it works, but im wondering what the diff is from just grounding that wire? also the ringing sound is constant. doesnt matter what the rmps are. i thought it might of been the dvd drive itself, the spinning of the disk. not sure though thanks again

is the noise possibly the sound of the fan that cools it?  Mine does make this noise all the time, even when the unit is turned off.Team Edge Audio

doesnt sound like a fan. Here's how it was hooked up HU -- > Brain/Hideaway --> cross overs --> front speakers. And for the rear speakers HU - Brain/Hideaway --> Rear speakers.
