turn on stereo via remote

Ok, i have two channels left to play with on my alarm system, id like to set one channel up too turn on my sound system, anybody done this before and already have relay schematics?? im gonna be thinkin about it, but if any of you know this stuff really well please post your schematics...also, any ideas on somthin different I could do with my third channel, ofcourse theres, windows/sunroof,trunk pop,heated seats and car start, but id like some other ideas...i cant think of anything..

you're going to have to use two latching relays which will use up both of your spare channels, and don't forget to diode isolate

tha momentarty to constant setup does not work . tried it dont work. you have to see what your alarm can do. dei alarms for the fourth channel have three different settings. or four whatever they have pulse. 30 second latched, latched and latched controled by ignition. the only one of those four that can not be turned on and off is the lathced with ignition. now you have to see what alarm you have and let us know or email me personally cause giving the ignition power or red wire power on an after market radio can control a lot more things than you want. so diodes will be needed now email me personally and i will be able to help you. if you have a cheap alarm it will not have good changeble outputs so i would say your best bet is buying the directed electronics piece labled the 450 t it is a channel expander and what it does is take one of those outputs of your current alarm and add five. which are all adjustable for those four things., or atleast three of them but let me know or us know either way were are smart there is people who know what there doing out thereJon

I would think it would be possible to do with jsut one relay, and a diode maybe (not sure how the diode would be wired up though) but as for other ideas on what to use the relay outputs for is, if it is possible to program the control unit to change how it uses relay outputs, you could use one to turn on lights, if you have any neon or strobes. My Control unit (delta pro-5005) is able to do the latched relay thing if I program it. I plan on using my aux 2 output to a relay, and that relay will go to different neon devices, right now I only have one neon thing under my hood infront of the radiator, and its hooked up to a toggle switch for now untill I'm done installing the system.

I have the viper 550 and have the remote stereo on the aux channel, it no longer allows me to arm silently but...I don't really need that feature. I didn't install the alarm, so I don't know exactly how it was done, but hopefully this can help somehow.
