Hey, my 99 ford taurus (gold edition) has an extra plug in the trunk and I'm trying to find out what its for. It has 3 wires leading into it a red w / YELLOW stripe, a black w/pink stripe and a blue. If anyone could please let me know what these wires are for that would be great. Thanx

Where in the trunk? It may be for a power antenna.

The RED / yellow is constant 12V...the BLACK/ pink is switched 12V (acc. and on)...the blue---not sure about that one...
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

run new wiring for the amp, use an LOC from the rear speakers or the HU if you'd like to have the RCA cables ready for an aftermarket HU.

It's possible that one of those wires could be used for the remote turn on signal, but be sure you know what it is first.
