hey yo

The names Eric.... Im gonna start fiberglassing even with all the complaints of how hard it is to work with.  I find it very interesting and I even think it would make a great job for a small city around here.
Anyways, I want to make car door panels for my first project.  I think I know basically how to do it, the only thing I wonder about is the weight of mat to get.  Im getting 8.5 for the exterior of my car but Im thinking about 1.5 or 3 oz for the panels.  What do you think?  Is this too heavy?  I want light but also strong.
GIve me ALL your opinions.  Please, any help is help.  Thanks
