What is the model # of the subs? More preferably, what is the impedance of the voice coils -they will either be dual 2 OR dual 4ohms each-?

L7's are rated for up to 750watts RMS, each. So, if you have the dual 4ohm versions, you could wire the subs in series/parallel (for 4ohms) and give each sub about 850watts. This will be okay considering the box is properly designed (and built...), the gain adjustment on the amp is set carefully, and you know how to not jack the volume up.

I, personally, would run the amp @ 4ohms. The amp will run cooler; making for better effeciency (better on your alternator) as well as longer life.

Actually, the 12" L7s are rated for 750rms and 1500peak. The 15s are rated @1000rms/2000peak. And I do agree about the idea with running the amp at four ohms, it will run better and cooler, and not risk overheating, and jmelton is also right in asking whether they are 2 or 4 ohm subs. They come in both configurations, and this will determine the final load on the amp, and therefore, how much power you will be putting to them. If you did choose that amp, and had it wired to 2 or 1 ohms, keep the gain down low, or you'll risk blowing your subs with way too much power.

Soldier: Oh, right. I forgot about the battle.
