This is probably a realy easy question but what does the orange illumination wire connect to from the radio? I know where all the other wires go e.g black to earth and all that but it occuried to me that I don't know where the orange wire goes or how it illuminates? If any one could let me know that would be great.

This usually connects to the dash illumination circuit so that when you turn on your car lights, it turns on the illumination in radio and at the same time dims the LCD display.

Now that you say it makes sense and is plainly obvious. I thought it might be something to do with the lights (hence the name) but I have asked the question.

Cheers
