Hey all,
Got a q about bridging,...i've heard about it before, and see alot of amps talk about it, but have never used it so am not sure what it is..
Only thing i really usnderstood "though may not be true" is that bridging an amp will enable it to put out more power to a single source...
I was under the impression that bridging a 2channel amp to run 1 speaker, delivered more power to said speaker.. Is this true?
If not, can someone please care to explain?
Look twice, think thrice, 1 splice/ 1 slice!
This is a phrase i came up with and something i will now live by.

more power than just using a single channel for a single speaker. what exactly are you wanting to do? what amp do you have and what sub are you trying to hook up?

I'm really just curious.
my current "soon to be current" setup will be 2 SVC 10" MTX's rms 225
the amp i'm supposed to get tomorrow is a 600watt 2channel Kenwood, but i'm also considering gettin a 200watt Kenwood and a 200watt Jensen amp,
But i'm lookin at some of these other amps for sale, like this 1000watt amp 2 x 500 @ 4Ohms 2channel bridgable..yada yada yada... i wanted to know what is the significance of bridgability...

you say you are looking at "THIS" amp, but you wont give a name to "THIS" amp, just some specs? and i would not even consider the jensen amp.
there is nothing really significant or amazing about bridging n amp, it just lets you get all of the power from a 2 channel amp when you only have one speaker on it.
