So are the Alpines subwoofers still the go to subwoofer to bang with? Just wondering because I use to hear everybody talk about Alpine subs but now I dont hear about them too much.

The Type E's are a very good performer for the price. I used to have a single Type E in a custom ported enclosure...pounded like a mofo off 100 watts. Those subs are really efficient.

they are ok at best, not like the old 6012/6015 series stuff, thats for sure!

Alpines not the greatest anymore but i still hold them higher than most other brands.

Ever notice the higher end Alpine stuff is made by others:
6062 comp set Dynaudio, F1 Status ScanSpeak. Does anyone know
who made the 6012/6015?

How much do you have in your budget for sub/subs and how much RMS wattage do you have available?
