I have a Sony CDX-CA720X stereo/cd player.I also have a Sony XM-222W amplifier.I just installed the amp today.......strange thing is that the amp.....which is just connected to my woofers works great when I have the radio on....but when I change to the cd function.....which is from the same audio system....the woofers are not working.......put radio back on...and the woofers work fine again......For some strange reason it seems like the cd player is not going through the amp but the radio portion is.Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks

It sounds like you hooked up the remote turn on lead to the power ant wire. Switch it to the amp turn on lead and everything should work fine.

Sounds like you hooked it up to the power ant wire like auex said. The antenna should be a blue wire while the remote wire which is the one you want to use is blue/white Here is a diagram that shows what each wire on your head unit dose https://www.the12volt.com/request/request2.asp What’s happening is when you switch to CD mode it cuts the power to the antenna since it is no longer being used. Since your amp is being turned on and off by the antenna trigger wire when you switch to cd the antenna turns off and your amp is turning off as well.
