Im trying to install a JVC KD-r610 HU in a 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer . I attempted it today with a wire harness from BB but it didnt work . Anyone have experiance in doing this that can help. I heard something about keeping the factory stereo hooked up so you dont lose factory chimes and warning wistles which she def needs . Thanks!

How much did you pay for the harness from BB?  If it cost only 20 dollars, that one will do nothing for retaining the door chimes.  This is the one you need.

the gmlan2sr from scosche should work around $110 and will retain the chime.  If you have onstar you will need the gmos1 from axxess/metra or if you have an amplified system with onstar you need the gmos4 from axxess/metra, both are about $100 and will also retain the chime.
