has anyone put there front speakers ( mid bass )in an enclosure? and if so how does it sound? whats the bass respense like? and what material and method did you use?

I fabricate fiberglass kick pods for speakers and the sound it makes is not as important as the way it is aimed. The main reason for having a speaker in a kickpod is not for frequency response, rather front stage imaging. If you want bass response, then install subs into the front of your vehicle because your not going to get head turning bass just by enclosing your 6.5" speakers. If you are going to put the speakers in the kickpanel I suggest fiberglass and MDF construction.

I have a honda accord exr coupe, and the speakers are in the normal kickpanel location. not interested in low frequencies, just want response thats tighter then a nuns snatch

I am with Jeff here...custom fibreglass door pods sealed with Cascade Deflex Pads for backing of the speaker...
the Cascade Deflex pads are great and seem to improve sound overall...may be worth your while taking a look...
the company is Cascade Audio Engineering...it is a great product...
