I will be doing a full install on a 02' Celica. I was wondering if there are any tips that I should be concerned about or basic knowledge in general would be much appreciated.

1) Deck - Any special security (like GM has) or any special keys to take out the deck or hidden bolts or screws covered up? I already have the harness and the dash kit.

2) Running Amp Wires - I know to run on opposite sides of vehicle, but to take out the kick panels or the side rails on the floor (what is the proper name of those anyway) are they just screw in or do you use a panel popper? Oh and does the bottom half of the seat just slide out so that I can run the wires to the trunk.

3) Amp - I was just going to mount it on the back seat in the trunk. (Any other places where they've been mounted would be appreciated. Thanks for the help in advance.

hey there,

it's ben awhile since i have done one of those but the proper name for the side pieces you asked about are "sill plates".  as far as mounting the amp on the back seat that will work, you will just want to try to sneak a board up behind the carpet so that you are not screwing into metal(this could cause noise interfierence).  the back seat should just slide out like most toyotas do.  i may not have been much help for ya but i hope it was better than nothiing.

If your ears aren't bleeding... it's not loud enough.
