1998 dodge caravan infinity

Hello All, Have a 1998 Dodge Caravan w/the Infinity system. Volume adjust expired so adding a Kenwood head. Dodge system has 2 x 7-wire connectors, one 2 wire connector, one ground wire and grounding strap. Kenwood has one connector. Do the wire colors match up between the two? What about the odd two wire connector on the back left side of the OEM deck? DO I need another harness besides the included Kenwood item? Been reading about the antenna power wire needing to go somewhere. Anyone with some answers plz!!Bonose

Go to your local stereo shop and purchase a Metra 70-1817 wiring harness. The colors of that harness are the same as the wire colors on your Kenwood deck. Make sure you connect the Blue or Blue/White wire of the Metra harness to the Blue or Blue/White wire of the Kenwood. If your Kenwood has both a Blue and a Blue/White, use the Blue/White.

I AM... Thanks for the reply-got the equivalent from B*** Buy the CH-6000 harness(es). Quick questions: I have leftover on the CH-6000: ORANGE / White, Orange, and Blue. The ORANGE / White =Dimmer , Orange = Illumination and Blue= Power Antenna. The Kenwood harness has leftover so far... Blue=Antenna Control    Blue/White = Power Control and Black = Ground. The ORANGE / White and Orange I think are N/A. I hooked the Kenwood Blue/White to the CH-6000 Blue. What is leftover is the KW Blue Antenna Controller=N/A. Does all this sound right?Bonose

There should have been either a ground strap or a single wire with a push on connector that connects to the chassis of the radio. Connect the Kenwood black to the ground strap or the wire that connected to the chassis of the radio. If neither of those are present, connect the black wire to the chassis of the vehicle. Connect Orange to orange and orange white to orange white. The Kenwood blue needs to be insulated and left alone.
