I'm looking to put a single 10 in a small sealed enclosure (around .5 cubic feet) in the back of a Toyota Supra (hatchback). I will be bridging the two rear channels of a McIntosh 440M (minimum 100wrms each @ 4ohm > 200wrms bridged). This is mainly an SQ setup...I'm not looking for any huge SPL numbers. Just good, clean sub-bass. I have been considering an Audiobahn ALUM10Q but I don't know if I have enough power for it. Also an Infinity Perfect 10.1. What about an Orion HCCA (more for SPL?)? Not to say that they're not good products by any means but I'd kinda like to stay away from the more mainstream lines like JL, Kicker, and Rockford. They're just everywhere and I get tired of hearing about the same brands all the time. And since I've had all three at one time or another, it's time for something different. :) I know ideally you want to listen to the particular sub before you buy it but I'm looking for any opinions anyone has to offer based on the setup I described. Also, the amp is 2ohm stable so I had considered looking for a dual 2ohm sub to get more power out of the amp, but I think most subs in this category are more geared toward SPL. Any thoughts? I would suggest a MB Quart PWD 254 http://mbquart.com/2003/en_US/products/prod_detail.asp?isArchive=&cat=auto&series=premium%20series&strt=1&model=PWD+254 with a name like MB Quart you know you’re getting top quality and sq. I have used these for SQ setups and they will give you exactly what you are looking for in your description above.

first of all a dual 2 ohm sub equals 4 ohm or 1 ohm...you would want a dual 4 ohm sub for an amp that is 2 ohm stable...

MBQuarts are excellent, Focal has some great sounding 10s, the Xtant Hex 10s, Illusion Audio ND10s, Morel Renaissance 10s, a/d/s/ 10rs.2, Diamond Audio TDX 10s (although they may be a little more power hungry than you are looking for), and the list goes on...

what is your price range?

I'd like to stay around $150-200 but that's based on internet prices. I had considered the Xtant Hex10s, but something turned me away from them. Can't remember what it was now though, I'd have to go back and look over the specs and reviews. I remember looking at the DA's also, and like you said, I may not have the power they'd need. If I ran each coil of a dual 2-ohm sub to each rear channel wouldn't I get more power from the amp overall? I'll look into the models. Thanks,both, for your suggestions.
